Job Description

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit aShutdown Co-ordinatorOur client is a large chemical manufacturer based in Bradford, they are looking for someone to join their team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Delivery Lead.Job Purpose:The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the safe and effective management of shutdown and turnaround deliverables at the company’s Bradford Facilities.In addition, the role may include the requirement to interface with internal company business facilities and related project teams.Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure that all planned turnaround and planned shutdown activities are coordinated and managed in accordance with company expectations in conjunction with the applicable Plant Manager, Activity Coordinator, Shutdown Planner, Maintenance Scheduler, MaintenanceLead and HSE Department.
  • Ensure that all shutdown activity work packs and activity plans include specified process safety management (PSM) guidelines, appropriate Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Risk Assessments, Flange Management packs and precautionary measures and are compliant withthe company permit to work system and procedure in order to minimize risk to personnel, the environment and company assets.
  • Provide management with weekly/daily planning reports on a timely basis including reported statistical information regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of the turnaround/ shutdown activity streams in terms of resources, materials & equipment requirementsetc. using comprehensive shutdown plans.
  • Ensure direct interfacing takes place on a timely basis for the duration of the turnaround/ shutdown with the operations production & maintenance department in a collaborative manner providing documented daily activity reports in compliance with any mandatoryoperating standards and company requirements
  • Ensure that agreed department resource planning is achieved against the agreed manpower plan.
  • Provide collaborative support to contractor process facilities engineering groups where applicable.
  • Ensure adequate interfacing within the operations maintenance department and functional support groups as outlined in the project turnaround/ shutdown action plans
Deliverables:
  • In conjunction with the applicable Plant Manager, Activity Coordinator, Shutdown Planner and Maintenance Scheduler, take the lead in establishing any bridging procedures across functions and planning of third-party activities and major events consideredparty to scheduled shutdown turnarounds.
  • In conjunction with the Maintenance Planner, give guidance and assist the operations production and maintenance department teams (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation/ Controls) with facilities readiness and planning of opportunity maintenance activities,major events and campaign maintenance in conjunction with any plant inspection services required and if applicable, the facilities process engineer.
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in multi discipline production operations management within the Chemical, Petro-chemical or similar heavy industry.
  • Experience in working in a functional environment (Production Operations, Engineering Maintenance, Shared Services or matrix organization).
  • Experience in interfacing and managing contracted service providers.
  • Experience in interfacing with major original equipment manufacturer and vendor service providers.
  • Experience in interfacing with project management teams at site and in an office environment.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management and production operations.
  • Working knowledge of Industry Standard CMMS and SCM management software. (e.g. MAXIMO, SAP, DATA STREAM, ORACLE EAM)
  • Must have excellent computer-based skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate relevant comprehensive reports to line management
  • Ability to function in a matrix organisation structure with managers and peers located in various site-based locations.
  • Demonstrated presentational skills.
