Job Description

Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit aMechanical Reliability EngineerOur client is a large chemical manufacturer based in Bradford, they are looking for someone to join their team, reporting directly to the Reliability Manager.Job Purpose:Provide specialist reliability centered maintenance support to the engineering and operations function, to improve the site’s reliability from a Mechanical perspective.Key Accountabilities:Collating statistics, carrying out analysis and addressing issues from any Mechanical reactive maintenance to prevent reoccurrence.Conducting reviews of the Mechanical preventative maintenance programme and work practices to ensure the correct asset care programme is applied to all assets to deliver the needs of the customer.Managing and delivering Mechanical sustenance projects to address equipment reliability or obsolescence risks.Drive Mechanical FMECA process.Manage the reliability programme of thermography and ultrasound analysis to identify and remediate potential risks to equipment or energy utilisation savings and efficienciesOther Accountabilities:Ensuring CMMS workflow is followed by the Mechanical maintenance delivery team and the preventative maintenance work is completed and managed with a minimal backlog.Ensuring CMMS is maintained with any new or modified equipment from a maintenance delivery perspective.Review and suggest improvements to Mechanical engineering standards to improve reliability elements and align industry best practice.Assisting in root cause analysis studies and owning and implementing any Mechanical related actions.Carrying out any Mechanical related UIR investigations.Reviewing, testing and roll-out of new technology or applications to support the needs of the manufacturing site.Reviewing P&IDs and technical drawings to ensure it reflects the current as built status.Devise and lead training in all aspects of Mechanical ReliabilityQualification Requirements:

  • HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering
  • Willingness to work towards bachelor’s degree in or equivalent desirable.
  • At least 5-10 years industrial experience gained in a complex chemical manufacturing environment.
