Job Description

Many of our leadership team and technicians started their careers at Keoghs which underlines thedevelopment commitment to all our people.Our culture is one of support, respect and recognition, so if you think youre a good fit then wed love to hear from you.Job PurposeThis role offers an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team with the purpose of supporting the management team to drive standard from a technical & strategic point of view.The technical supervisor will work directly with the business unit director and tactical delivery director and be responsible for file audits, supporting and delivering group training and the supervision, mentoring and coaching of individual file handlers.They will be responsible for driving policies and strategies to support the technical progression of the department and help to achieve technical excellence within the Subrogated Recoveries unit in line with clients SLAs.Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise file handlers in accordance with the relevant Competency framework and ensure that accurate technical development records are maintained.
  • Actively mentor and coach these individuals with a view to extending their technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Carry out monthly file audits for all file handlers, provide feedback to the individual and analysis for the management team on any trends and training issues.
  • To assist with the preparation for external client audits.
  • Identify any training requirements and to feedback to the appropriate team leader & tactical delivery director.
  • Complete file reviews including pre-trial reviews and exception reviews.
  • Responsibility to develop all new starters to achieve their first financial authority within 6 months of them joining Keoghs.
  • Manage individual file handlers on a performance improvement plan when relating to technical issues.
  • Consistently achieve against personal targets and objectives, set by the business unit director and tactical delivery director.
  • To ensure compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2016.

Working Hours35 hours per week worked 9am and 5pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive with 1 hour for lunch.This is a hybrid working role so will be a mixture of working in the office and from home.Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Subrogated recovery experience either defendant or claimant (preferable).
  • Previous experience of handling own caseload.
  • Experience of handling Fast Track work is essential.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure, whilst complying with deadlines.
  • Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions.
