A day in the life of a Senior Commercial Analyst is exciting and varied; everything from building robust annual budgets, monthly forecasts, andinterrogating P&Ls to articulate the why behind the numbers of business performanceYou will be driven, and excited, by making a genuine difference to the financial performance of this B2B division of AO. You will be adept in building strong and long-lasting internal relationships with a broad network of stakeholders across the businessto protect and grow revenue and profitabilityThe Senior Commercial Analyst is expected to lead and positively challenge business decisions and may have exposure to people management or mentoring others within the teamWhat youll be doing as our Senior Commercial Analyst:

• Business partnering to develop robust annual budgets and monthly forecasts
• Develop and present robust business cases across the AO Group
• A key influencer in broader project and operational forums
• Champion and instil a commercial culture across AO Business
• Understanding and articulating the why behind performance
• Analysing trends and using KPIs to inform business decisions
• Development of Excel modelling to support forecasting
• Presenting to a senior audience using compelling visuals and impactful messaging
• Champion an accuracy matters approach to data-led decisions
• Working alongside trading, supply chain and logistics to deliver-the-plan

A few things about you:

• Experience of interpreting and explaining business performance via a full P&L (both revenue and cost lines)
• Experience in annual budgeting and re-forecasting
• Strong people person, great at building relationships, presenting to a senior audience up-to and including MD and Exec level; and working as part of a high-profile team
• Proficient to an advanced level in Excel (sumifs, pivot-tables etc)
• Awareness and interest of macro-economic impacts on business performance
