Job Description

We are looking for like-minded people who want to join us in thisexciting and important work, and who want to develop their career with us.You will predominately be handling your own case load of delegated authority claims which will include but not limited to credit hire cases, suspected credit hire fraud, liability investigations and bodily injury cases whilst assisting and helping to shapeour best in class strategy for our insurer clients.We are looking for all kinds of individuals that have a desire to progress and develop. These claims may consist of indemnity disputes and will vary in value up to £50,000. The handler will be responsible forcarrying extensive investigations in to the reasonableness of the claim being brought from a technical stand point.Some cases may involve a Personal Injury element which will also be handled by the Complex Credit Hire File Handler.Key Accountabilities:The role will involve dealing with a caseload of DA & NDA credit hire files under the supervision of a Technical Supervisor. Instructions are received at varying stages of the claim process and so a full knowledge of handling RTA claims through to conclusionvia a court hearing is necessary.The main aspects of the role will involve:Review and analysis of files throughout the life of the case, and in accordance with the client guidelinesDevelop and maintain client relationships, always keeping the client at the heart of every decisionFormulating an initial strategy for approval by Technical Supervisor.Legal researchUndertaking telephone negotiations with third party SolicitorsLiaising with the insured and insurers where necessaryEnsuring actions are carried out as per the task list within the Case Management SystemAccurately recording timeAccurately completing the dispute resolution processProcessing billsEnsuring all files are kept within ISO 9001 guidelines

Adhere to the Keoghs ValuesAbility to work in target driven environmentThe role will also involve an understanding of the court process, to include:Drafting defencesCompleting allocation questionnairesDealing with disclosure and exchange of evidenceCompleting listing questionnairesCompleting pre-trial checklistsInstructing CounselDrafting CPR Part 18 questionsDrafting CPR Part 35 questionsDrafting Counter schedulesWorking Hours 35 hours per weekMonday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.Primary location for this role is Bolton, Parklands Office, This is a hybrid working role so you will be working in the office on a Monday and work from home for the rest of the week.What you can expect from us:
