Casualty Fraud Paralegal / File Handler - Bolton (Hybrid working, 1 day per week in the office) The Casualty Fraud Paralegal/File Handler will manage a caseload of suspected fraudulent EL/PL cases on behalf of a number of insurance clients. The caseload will consist of pre-litigation cases that will either need to be triaged or handledthrough to settlement or litigation.The role provides an excellent introduction to EL/ PL claims with the scope for development within the team which handles cases with a potential value of up to £100K, on both a delegated and non-delegated basis.The role requires a forensic and analytical approach to employment and public liability issues together with experience and/or appreciation of the documents and evidence required in these types of cases.This role is suitable for candidate with File Handling experience or those with Fraud or EL/PL experience.Key AccountabilitiesConsidering concepts and merits of primary and secondary liability in employment and public liability claims.Handling matters in accordance with client SLAs.Interviewing Insureds and their witnesses and taking statementsInstructing investigators/medical and other experts.Reviewing evidence.Reviewing quantumDealing with Disclosure.Negotiations & liaising with other parties involved in the claimDealing with routine correspondence.Conducting investigations.Initial report/review and setting strategy for the management of the claim.Working Hours35 hours per weekMonday - Friday 9am - 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.Essential Skills and AttributesExperience of EL/PL claims would be advantageousExperience of File Handling or Fraud or EL/PL claimsSelf-confident with good telephone and communication skills with people at all levels inside and outside the businessGood Literacy and IT skillsAttention to Detail - Pays appropriate attention to all aspects of a task.What you can expect from us:
