Job Description

Business Support AssistantJob Purpose Working in the Nomination & Litigation review team creating and allocating files on the case management system to be held within the company. Receiving rejected files from internal legal teams and completing them within service level agreements. This includessending out relevant letters to all involved parties. Making outgoing telephone calls to obtain further information. Receiving incoming telephone calls from Clients/Third Parties and answering their queries. May also be required to provide general administrativesupport, through delivery of files/paperwork, closing down files for the fee earning teams.Also assisting when needed the New Instruction team. Downloading and combine all the incoming work that comes to us via a central inbox or client portals.The role requires the attention of the individual to identify the urgency of a new instruction, and the ability to accurately log for traceability purposes and pass over to the file opening team for processing. Ensuring all combines are completed withinset timeframes.Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensuring that they always act in line with the Data Protection Act, SRA Code of Conduct 2011, and the Lexcel Manual
  • Ensure that they achieve their objectives and keep an accurate log of all work completed.
  • Working together to print a high volume of New Instruction emails within SLAs.
  • Ensuring an accurate log is kept of all incoming work.
  • Securely Logging into various Clients databases & portals to print all documents.
  • May also be required to assist other functions within the Business Support Unit, with any of the following tasks:
  • Administrative support
  • Taking and making calls for information.
  • Closing files on the case management system
  • Sorting & distributing post, which may include transporting files between our Bolton offices
  • Assisting Reception
