South Norfolk and Broadland Council have an exciting opportunity for a Community Assets Management Officer to join their team. This role will bebased in Long Stratton, close to Norwich or Thorpe Lodge, Norwich and is offered on a full time, permanent basis. Continuous improvement is also vital and we challengeourselves to develop new and innovative ways to improve the services that make a real difference to peoples lives.What youll be doing as our Community Assets Management Officer:- Support the management and delivery of the councils community assets, delivering high quality open spaces, play and amenities across the area to safeguard and enhance the natural and built environment.- Ensure appropriate maintenance, inspection, repair and refurbishment programmes are in place to ensure all facilities, structures and features remain safe, fit for purpose and in good repair and order.- Lead on land conservation and arboricultural matters including the management of the councils tree survey and maintenance programmes.- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to support the development and delivery of projects and policies to improve the environmental quality of council-owned assets.As our Community Assets Management Officer you must have Relevant experience in a planning, landscape or asset management environment, ideally holding a qualification in a arboriculture, forestry or a similar land-based subject or NEBOSH, RoSPA or similar health & safety-based subject.
