Job Description

Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Front of House Supervisor to help provide a first class service to their busy garden centre customers.Job Title:Front of House SupervisorSalary:£24,310 per year + Bonus + Benefits (listed below)Location: Long DittonRota: Full-time, 42.5 hours, including alternate weekendsAbout our ClientThey are a family-owned group of 16 garden centres based in Surrey, Sussex, Middlesex, and Berkshire. Since 1936 the purpose of their business has been the happiness of those who work in it.They are committed to growing their business and to promoting the highest standards in horticulture, catering, and retail.The RoleAs Front of House Supervisor you will work closely with the Restaurant Manager and supervise a team of servers and catering staff. You will deliver a fantastic, customer-focused experience in a clean and welcoming restaurant.This is a very hands-on role and as such you will need to work to a very high standard and be proactive, highly motivated, organised and results driven with good communication skills. You will be working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Main duties and responsibilities:Provide an enjoyable restaurant experience for everyone by:

  • Ensuring all customers are greeted and offered assistance
  • Handling customer queries courteously and efficiently
  • Identifying customer needs through interaction, and taking appropriate action
  • Excellent standards of hygiene and housekeeping are established and maintained in accordance with company guidelines
  • Take responsibility for the whole in the absence of the manager
Must Haves
  • Good friendly manner
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Willing to learn
  • Previous catering / retail supervisory experience is essential
  • Ability to cook
