Job Description

Mental Health Wellbeing Mentor Location - Secondary School based in NewportRoleMental Health Teaching AssistantPay - £10.77 to £12.00 per hourStart dateSeptember 5thTeaching personnel are working closely with a large secondary school based in Newport to recruit a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work within the learning support hub of the school. The school are looking for a teaching assistant who can act as a mentalhealth mentor to support with wellbeing as well as education support.Ideal Backgrounds:

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience
  • Mental Health support
  • Care/Support Worker
  • Personal experience supporting Additional Learning Needs
  • Playworker experience
  • Sport Coaching
  • Graduates
The school is a large mixed secondary school-based Newport and has a capacity for 1450 pupils. It has recently been redeveloped and benefited from a new £29 million school building. The school has state of the art learning facilities and equipment from interactivewhite boards to Apple mac computersTo be considered for the position please apply today.
