Mental Health Teaching Assistant- Position Stating in September (New academic year)- Secondary school in Newport- £10.70 per hour- Full time position MondayFridayTeaching Personnel are working closely with one of their partnerships schools to recruit a Teaching assistant with knowledge and understanding of mental health for the new academic year.The school have identified that a lot of their students who require support struggle with their mental health, because of this they are looking to recruit a Teaching assistant who can help with the students wellbeing as well as their education. Your rolewould be supporting a student with either additional learning needs (Autism, ADHD, Global Delay, Asperges) or challenging behaviour with their education in a classroom setting or in one of the catch-up hubs.Ideal Backgrounds:

Previous Teaching Assistant experience
Mental Health support
Care/Support Worker
Personal experience supporting Additional Learning Needs
Playworker experience
Sport Coaching
Graduates

The school is a large mixed secondary school-based Newport and has a capacity for 1450 pupils. It has recently been redeveloped and benefited from a new £29 million school building.
