Job Description

Broadleaf are a successful and well established manufacturer of high quality wood flooring based in Llandybie, Ammanford and with 8 showrooms across the UK.We are currently looking for a capable, confident Accounts / Finance Manager to join our friendly Head Office Team. Fully office based, this is an interesting and varied role for an organised, accurate and experienced finance professional managing the dayto day accounts of the business.The RoleDuties will include:

  • Daily posting of bank transactions and reconciliation of the bank account
  • Month end reconciliations of intercompany and PAYE accounts
  • Preparing and posting general ledger journals
  • Preparation of VAT returns and reconciliations
  • Overseeing employee expenses, petty cash and company credit cards
  • Maintaining fixed asset register schedules
  • Managing the purchase ledger and posting of invoices
  • Maintaining the Sales Ledger (no credit control)
  • Preparation of management information
  • Assistance with preparation of year end accounts
  • Preparation of simple monthly payroll using Brightpay
  • Managing utility, phone and company car contracts.
You will support and be supported by an experienced Accounts Assistant and the company’s Finance Director. The Finance Director works mainly remotely so you will need to be confident to be the first point of contact for accounts related queries, but youwill have plenty of access and support, especially in your first months. Your training will be face to face at Broadleaf HQ.Skills & Experience RequiredIdeally you will have an AAT qualification or similar, but experience is the key criteria for this role, although payroll experience is not crucial. You will need to be friendly and confident with good communication skills, excellent attention to detailand a strong grasp of bookkeeping principles. You will be able to manage your time well and work independently as well as part of our lovely head office team.
