Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join us as Receptionist on a full time basis at our fantastic new Kirk Lane nursing home in Livingston (EH54) which will open May/June 21. This is an exciting time to be part of developing a new service from the outset and continuing our reputation for high quality care provision. You will support the home by providing a highly professional service, being the first point of contact for all enquiries and visitors to the home.Our OrganisationAt Randolph Hill, we have enjoyed an enviable reputation for quality care provision since 1985. We are large enough to be able to provide support to our team with a stable and supportive management structure, detailed policies and procedures and regular and comprehensive training, whilst still small enough to avoid becoming overly bureaucratic and make decisions to fit every circumstance. We offer fantastic rates of pay, have an incredibly low staff turnover (many of our staff have been here since they opened) and there are plenty of opportunities for career progression. All of our homes are extremely well run and have positive grades with the Care Inspectorate.   • Previous reception experience in a front facing customer focussed role
  • • Able to multi-task and prioritise workload• Clear and concise communicator with excellent listening skills with good spoken and written English• The ability to maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times• Good general computer skills• Knowledge of elderly care and dementia is desirableJob Purpose

  • Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To answer the telephone and provide a high standard of assistance in a helpful way
  • To report and record information in a neat, tidy way
  • To recognise visitors and welcome them by name, if appropriate
  • To check the identity of strangers, asking them to wait at reception until someone can help them
  • To comply with company policies and procedures and adhere to safe working practices
  • To attend regular staff meetings where appropriate
  • To treat and use all equipment in a safe manner keeping it clean and in good working order
  • To undertake any reasonable task as directed by the Home Manger, Deputy or Administrator to ensure the smooth running of the home
