Job Description

LGV 1 Driver / HGV Class 1 Driver / C + E Driver required for a business to business logistics, pallet and parcel company, based in Cannock, Staffordshire, West Midlands.Job Title: LGV 1/ Class 1 Driver / C + E Driver(Class 1), Trunking, Bulk Collections & Deliveries.Package: Salary of circa £27k basic, + attendance bonus + vehicle bonus + overtime(paid at time and half), with likely earnings of circa £30k.Normal working hours are:0330-1330, Tuesday to Friday and 0330 - 1130, Saturday.All work is within WS AND WV postcodes, so all very local and some trunking to and from Burton Hub.Area: Cannock/Staffordshire, within WS /WV postcodes.Ideally, you will be located in the Cannock, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Lichfield, Hednesford, Burntwood, Brownhills area. Essentially within WV and WS postcode areas.Product: Business to Business Logistics and Pallet Company, providing first class service at all times.Class 1 C & E Driver required for a business to business logistics and Pallet company.Main purpose and structure of the role is;-Trunk driving to and from Cannock to Hub, also based in Midlands.-Bulk Collections of Pallets from customers within the Staffordshire / West Midlands area.-Some deliveries to customers within WS/WV postcodes.-Drop off and pick up of empty / full load from clients in Staffordshire and surrounding area.Key responsibilities for this role will include:- To undertake daily checks of the vehicle as detailed on Defect Report.- To deliver & collect pallets and full loads as detailed on Load Sheet- To park vehicle safely and report any problems via completion of Vehicle Defect Report.- To retain Tachograph readings and provide to manager in accordance with Department of Transport requirements.- To assist Warehouse Operatives / FLT Driver in loading and unloading vehicle if additional cover or assistance is required.Key Skills / Experience:ESSENTIAL-You will have previous experience of Trunking / Driving LGV Class 1 Vehicles.-LGV Class 1 License (C + E)- Previous experience of LGV/HGV Collections and deliveries.-Drivers CPC.-Use of Analogue / Digital Tacho Card holders.-Knowledge of Working Time Regulations and current road traffic legislation applicable to HGV Drivers.-Flexibility to work the specified hours as described above.You must also have a range of personal skills and attributes including;- Initiative and Involvement- Flexible- Good Team worker- Disciplined- Commitment and desire to succeed.- Health and Safety awareness- Good verbal communication and inter-personal skills both face to face and on telephone.- Relationship management with others- Stress Tolerance- Reliable and trustworthy- Polite and courteous at all times-- Job Title: LGV 1/ Class 1 Driver / C + E Driver(Class 1), Trunking, Bulk Collections & Deliveries.-- Package: Salary of circa £27k basic, + attendance bonus + vehicle bonus + overtime(paid at time and half), with likely earnings in the bracket of circa £30k.Normal working hours are:0330-1330, Tuesday to Friday and 0330 - 1130, Saturday.
