Job Description

Management Accountant Are you an experienced Management Accountant looking to take the next stepIronMarket Talent are partnering within a successful family run manufacturing and distribution business in the heart of the Staffordshire Moorlands who supply their specialist products across the UK. The business is well known within their field of expertiseand are seeking motivated and passionate finance professional to work closely with their Financial Controller and within a small finance team. As you will be working for an SME within the manufacturing space this is a great opportunity to add value from an early stage. Working closely with the Financial Controller, as the Management Accountant you will be tasked primarily with themonthly reporting requirements to ensure robust financial control.This business offers you the opportunity to adjust your start and finish times to support a better work/life balance.Main responsibilities of the role will include:

Technical reporting requirements of the business - focusing on annual statutory accounts, HMRC VAT submissions and cash management/ forecasting - in-line with banking facility, National Statistics submissions.
Assist the Financial Controller with the timely reporting of month end management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
Provide commentary and feedback to Group level personnel, therefore you will need to be a strong and confident communicator.
Build and maintain strong internal relationships across the wider business, promoting the company values whilst adhering to reporting deadlines.

Experience Required

Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification or Qualified by Experience
Previous experience of statutory reporting, cashflow management and VAT/ Brexit
Excellent reporting and technical skills
Well-developed time management, organisational and planning skills
Strong Excel skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
