My client based in Leek, is looking for a subject matter expert to serve as their in-house IT Support Specialist in a fixed term position. The successful candidate will report to the IT Manager, and serve two functions within the company. First, the IT Support Specialist will work within their IT department on any issues that might come up and advise about potential fixes or efficiency controls. Second, they must liaise between the company and external vendors about IT-related infrastructure and development. They are looking for a responsive, highly productive professional who can work within the IT department, with company employees and vendors to ensure continued success through completing day to day IT activities and project work.Responsibilities:* Assess and monitor infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet necessary demands* Support daily operations of the IT department* Contribute to developing new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency, enhance workflow and improve customer satisfaction* Maintain professional partnerships with internal departments and 3rd party vendors* Protect customer data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage and other necessary means* Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and help train employees on its use* Offer suggestions for possible upgrades and changes within the IT departmentExperience:* Industry certifications and memberships a plus* Experience in an IT support environment* Essential knowledge of Visual Studio working and SQL Server 2014* Desirable use of Microsoft; AX 2009, Server 2008, 2016, Office and Target Reporting* Good communication and team working at all levels* Ability to fill multiple activities simultaneously as part of a team or independentlyAdecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
