Please note, this post is offered full time at 37.5Hrs per week.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to work in this key management role as Department Manager for Radiology, part of the Ambulatory care, Diagnostics and Theatres division within the NHS Forth Valley Acute Services Directorate on a permanent basis.The NHS Forth Valley Radiology Department in Forth Valley Royal Hospital comprises: General and dental x-ray rooms, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, DXA, Interventional, Fluoroscopy, mobile, mammography and MRI scanning. The service also provides diagnostic imaging services within Stirling care Village. A comprehensive Radiology service is provided across both primary and secondary care within NHS Forth Valley.This post would suit a dynamic HCPC registered Radiographer who wishes to develop their management and leadership skills in an acute service setting. You will be able to demonstrate experience and a willingness to learn in management, leadership and change management, enabling you to manage and support staff effectively.Reporting to the service manager for ambulatory care, diagnostics and theatres, the post demands a wide range of operational knowledge and expertise to ensure the delivery of person centred, safe and effective care to meet the needs of the population of Forth Valley. You will have a high level of clinical expertise and act as the professional lead for Diagnostic Radiography. With skills in negotiating, influencing and communication you will take an active role in the delivery of key local and national drivers.It is essential that the post-holder is a HCPC registered Radiographer, educated to degree level, with substantial demonstrable senior management experience, some of which should be leading a specialist modality or equivalent. The hours worked are 37.5hrs per week over seven days and there is a requirement to contribute to the senior manager on call rota.
