Job Description

JHE & Partners are excited to be working with a successful, local manufacturing organisation in Bradford as they look to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting to the FD, but with full control of the day to day finances for the business, this role has become available due to the imminent retirement of the current FC.The company has enjoyed significant growth and continues to exceed target year on year. Profitable and with a loyal client base, the company are in an excellent position to maintain this excellent trend moving forward.This is a key role within the organisation and the successful candidate will work extremely closely with the Finance and Managing Director as well as the rest of the Senior Leadership team.Key duties will include:

Producing full sets of accounts for several businesses within the group

Full responsibility of the company cash flow

Producing yearend financial accounts, full audit pack and liaising with auditors

Preparing all budgets working closely with the FD & MD

Responsible for the company VAT and intrastat

Corporation tax and CT61 payments

Dealing with Directors salaries

Submitting P11ds and monitoring benefits in kind through the payroll.

Supporting and advising the trading accountant

Supporting and advising other members of the accounts team, purchase and sales ledger

Advising FD on staff issues within the accounts department

Ad hoc responsibilities with the sole aim of managing the full accounting process of a £20m turnover business

Recent experience in a similar position, ideally within the manufacturing sector

Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA), though qualified by experience candidates will be considered

Confident managing a team

Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes

A friendly, hard working approach and a desire to work as part of a team
