Job Description

Our client is a state of the art manufacturer in the security industry, providing high-tech equipment to major organisations and government facilities throughout the world. They are currently experiencing a substantial period of growth and have a growingorder book, resulting in the need for an additional Material Planner.The main aim of this role is to help maintain and manage the production / manufacturing schedules and procurement of 3rd party materials and services via MRP system.

  • Create, control and maintain inventory levels for materials, direct consumables and made in house or purchased SKU.
  • Generate warehouse pick-lists & service/sales pick lists to support Works Orders and confirm material available to commence build in a timely and pro-active basis including liaison with procurement and manufacturing functions to expedite supply and communicatepotential shortages / risks.
  • Ensure that all transactions are complete and timely from origination to closure (shipment)
  • Report issues to Line Management and co-ordinate recovery action in the event of actual / potential risks.
Requirements
  • Basic experience in Sales, Inventory and Operations planning, including but not limited to coordinating manufacturing and supply chain routings, sub-contract works order management and engineering change management.
  • Proven ability to work well with others at all organizational levels, to organize and prioritize, and to participate on cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP processes (ideally Navision)
