Job Description

Our client is a state of the art manufacturer in the security industry, providing high-tech equipment to major organisations and government facilities throughout the world. They are currently experiencing a substantial period of growth and have a growingorder book, resulting in the need for an additional Material Planner.The main aim of this role is to help maintain and manage the production / manufacturing schedules and procurement of 3rd party materials and services via MRP system.

Create, control and maintain inventory levels for materials, direct consumables and made in house or purchased SKU.
Generate warehouse pick-lists & service/sales pick lists to support Works Orders and confirm material available to commence build in a timely and pro-active basis including liaison with procurement and manufacturing functions to expedite supply and communicatepotential shortages / risks.
Ensure that all transactions are complete and timely from origination to closure (shipment)
Report issues to Line Management and co-ordinate recovery action in the event of actual / potential risks.

Requirements

Basic experience in Sales, Inventory and Operations planning, including but not limited to coordinating manufacturing and supply chain routings, sub-contract works order management and engineering change management.
Proven ability to work well with others at all organizational levels, to organize and prioritize, and to participate on cross-functional teams.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP processes (ideally Navision)
