Job Description

Our client, a large Manufacturing company, are looking to recruit a Buyer to oversee the companys busy procurement department.This role would suit someone who is used to a maintaining a healthy supplier base and ensure products arrive on time and within budget whilst maintain stock levels to accommodate business requirements.Main duties of the role are:

  • Produce and administer purchase orders
  • Supplier liaison to ensure best cost practices
  • Document control for stores and procurement
  • Scheduling of parts to ensure they meet deadlines and customer requirements
  • Maintaining a healthy stock level to meet customer requirements
  • To ensure documentation certificates, test certs and material certificates are filed per job with clear tractability
  • Issuing and allocating of parts onto the sage system
The right candidate should have the following skills
  • Must be qualified in purchasing practices
  • Must have a full understanding of the sage system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate internally
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pmSalary £26,000Immediate start for the right person
