As a Barclays Cloud Analyst, you in your new role will be working in our team that is responsible for assisting in the definition of cloud strategy, reference engineering and developing automations to deliver Elastic Stack using public cloud servicessuch as Azure and AWS. You will work alongside specialist engineers to create the directions and reference frameworks for Barclays IT Infrastructure. Hybrid Working We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Were flexible on how thisworks and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may chooseto spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. What will you be doing Assisting in the successful execution of the roadmap and contributing to the multi-year product strategy and product roadmap that aligns to the business strategy Working collaboratively to aid in the architecture and design process for one or more application Cloud migrations Building the automated provisioning and deployment of Cloud infrastructure, services and applications Ensuring all resiliency, observability, supportability, security and operational readiness requirements are met Implementing DevOps best practice, pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure we align to Barclays development and automation standards Contributing to the migration strategy and driving the best value from the Cloud Utilising resource to aid in the identification and reduction for cost optimisation Working closely with the Dev, DevOps and Infrastructure teams to continuously gather feedback and implant newer strategies What were looking for: Solid technical skills and proven experience of using Azure or AWS services and delivering Cloud solutions Working experience of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CHEF, AWS Cloud Formation and Terraform Experience of DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Bitbucket/ Git, Nexus Solid understanding of systems and applications associated with Cloud such as UNIX, Windows, Storage, Middleware, Networks, Security, or Systems Management Skills that will help you in the role: Working knowledge of scripting such as Perl/ Python/ Ruby Solid understanding of complex enterprise organisational infrastructure and architecture environments Excellent communication, engagement, documentation and governance skills, and ability to work with teams to ensure the right deliverables are created Azure or AWS certification Where will you be workingYou will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford.
