As a Barclays Senior Network Automation Developer, you will help define automation strategy and designs, perform hands on development and be responsible for delivering strategic automation projects on a large scale network. What will you be doing You will provide expertise across multiple programming frameworks, languages and network security products Defining automation workflows in consultancy with network engineers Owning technical project deliverables Working closely with stakeholders and Product management to assist in creating and maintaining the technical strategy and roadmap for Network Automation use cases Developing the network automation frame work Managing effective relationships with stakeholders and other team members - stakeholders will be engineers and Managers across Networks and Voice and Risk and Security Defining strategy for environments where a wide range of impact to other services is possible and able to manipulate large data sets What were looking for: Network/Infrastructure automation using Python and preferably Ansible and working knowledge of GIT, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools Solid experience automating network devices - NSX, Routers, Switches, load balancers, firewalls etc. (skills in AWS or other public cloud infrastructure automation is acceptable) Experience in Public Cloud, Network Automation and Infrastructure Automation Experience in frameworks and databases such Django, Flask, PostgreSQL and similar and in REST API development Skills that will help you in the role: Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with monitoring/collector protocols such as SNMP Polls and Traps, Syslog, NetFlow, Streaming Telemetry, NetConf/RestConf for state data Experience with CMDB platforms and knowledge of Enterprise level network management platforms and designing, building and automating NSZ-V and/or NSX T networking Experience of IPAM and SoR tools such as Netbox with working knowledge of Linux systems in terms of daemons, services, file system, rpm packages etc. Proven experience of Network or Infrastructure Automation preferably within a large multi-site global financial environment or equivalent scale service provider Where will you be workingYou will be based in Radbroke Hall, Knutsford.
