Job Description

VAC: 477Plant Engineer (Shredders and Screeners Recycling Industry) Based Knutsford Cheshire Salary: £40,000 basic pluscompany profit share,training schemes, pension sick pay and holidays.CompanyLWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner for an award-winning nationwide recycling plant hire company, due to expansion they’re now looking for an additional site-based Plant Mechanic to join their rapidly expanding engineering team inKnutsford.The Role:he main purpose of this new role is to diagnose problems, maintain, repair and refurbish the growing fleet of recycling plant (shredders, crushers and screeners)Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and background in mechanical engineering.
  • Knowledge of heavy plant will be essential, and previous experience with shredders and screeners would be a major advantage,
  • knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems is essential.
  • Welding/fabrication skills would also be a distinct advantage.
  • physically fit, together with a can-do attitude, a willingness to work flexible hours and possess great team working skills.
  • Must live within a 40-minute drive from Knutsford, Cheshire.
  • full driving licence
Benefits
  • Salary: £40,000 starting salary depending on skills and experience, rising to £35,700 after successful probationary period.
  • Holidays: 31 days (inc of bank holidays), plus enhanced scheme after 1 years service and birthdays off every year.
  • Hours: 42.5 per week. Core hours are 7.30am to 4.30pm
  • Overtime: Offered outside core hours at 1.5 times basic rate. Potential of some Saturday work (non mandatory).
