Role: Solidworks Mechanical Design EngineerRate: up to £50 per hour, outside IR35Location of work: Flexible hybrid. You can work largely remotely, but you should be flexible to come onsite when the task work requires.Contract length: 3 months initiallyThe Project: An electronics business who specialise in energy monitoring products require a Mechanical Design Engineer with Solidworks and Metal experience to join them for an initial 3-month contract.The client has received a design brief from a key customer for a product that they must now design and manufacture. The product will be high volume manufactured and will use two bars of metal and will need a clamping mechanism added to it so it can be clampedand tightened onto an existing product.To be suitable for this role you should be a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who is confident using Solidworks. You should have experience taking ownership of a product design from concept through to manufacture. You should also have experience designingproducts using Metal.Once this project is complete there is opportunity to work on other projects if you wish. This will most likely involve designing plastic injection moulded enclosures for devices that enclose electronic PCBs. It is a very exciting time to join the businessas they have a huge amount of project work for new product developments.Experience required:
