Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a Bid Writer to join our Civils Pre-Construction Team. You will be responsible for supporting our Work Winning efforts across the UK. Join our collaborative team to achieve more from your career by proudly building Britains future heritage with us.The Bid Writer roleThis newly created role will support our strategic approach to work winning activity and will include writing, editing, and proofreading high quality PQQ and Tender responses. The successful candidate will ensure that our customer facing content is well-structured,well-written and supports our win themes and wider strategic goals both during and outside of the bid process.You will also be responsible for writing Industry Award submissions for all of civils projects, as well as working alongside Civils Project Teams to assist in the production and delivery of Newsletters and community communications.Your profile

  • Proven ability to use creative / journalist writing skills to convey key messages/understanding such as: Bid responses, articles, marketing engagement, industry media communications etc.
  • The ability to work with, influence and obtain key information/salient points from Senior Leaders / discipline experts
  • APMP qualification or willingness to work towards
  • First-class writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Flexible and collaborative working attitude with a can-do approach
  • Competent in MS Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Ideally you will be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with experience in Construction, Civil Engineering or other relevant industry.
