Job Description

Robert Walters are delighted to be hiring an Assistant Finance Business Partner on behalf of one of the North Wests largest retailers as they continue to grow their business, including their finance team. Following the rapid growth of the business, andsuccessive years of increased revenue, this new vacancy is offering a competitive salary to join a thriving and diverse team.You will be reporting to the Finance Business Partner and will assist in the delivery of the financial performance for a dynamic and evolving multi-million-pound turnover business as well as providing financial information and reporting.The RoleIn reporting directly to the FBP, you will work with the business to track financial performance and provide financial information, forecasting and analysis to support decision making. You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Finance Team by establishing and providing accurate, timely and informative MI to FBPs and the senior stakeholders
  • Lead ad-hoc projects, ensuring that month end reporting and day to day financial processes are robust and accurate and that they maintain pace with growth in the business
  • Assist the Finance Business Partners in the preparation of the monthly Divisional review
  • Support the commercial and operational teams in analysing performance, helping with reporting, and making recommendations for improvement in processes and initiatives to deliver business growth objectives
  • Support work on the financial audit processes and internal controls framework compliance
The CandidateYou will be:
  • A fully Qualified accountant with proven experience within a commercial finance role (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Able to analyse data and present complex information in a clear manner
  • Able to speak with key stakeholders confidently
  • Experienced in financial modelling
