Job Description

You have the power to shape your role and we cannot wait to see where you take us and well take pride in supporting the future you chose to build at Surface Transforms.Surface Transforms leads by example and therefore will commit to support you and fund professional qualifications, offer hybrid working and open to discussions around flexible hours.Due to considerable growth plans, we are looking for a HR Coordinator & Analyst to assist the HR team in a generalist capacity to ensure a smooth running of daily HR activities. The HR coordinator will form an integral part of the HR team to deliver a professionalservice to the business. They must be data driven with the analytical skill set to be able to spot trends and pattern of our workforce. Supporting the HR team in the delivery of projects and key objectives. Being collaborative with the business and supportingline managers in managing people issues and concerns. Be proactive in self-development, looking for opportunities to make improvements, streamline process and making sure all HR operations and administrative task run smoothly.What youll be doing as our HR Coordinator:

  • Act as first port of call for low level queries into HR.
  • Manage the HR email inbox ensuring that SLAs are maintained with HR communication and internal expectations.
  • Working with the HR Talent Manager to aid with the onboarding process, including: the coordination of all new starter paperwork, supporting/delivering inductions to support the onboarding process for all team members by giving them a great experience.
  • Undertake low level formal cases, such as first stage sickness, flexible working request and investigations, support the line manager with advice through to supporting in formal meetings.
  • Working closely with the HR Advisor to understand complex management of people issues.
  • Produce daily, weekly and monthly contractual reports for the HR Advisor and HR Manager along with internal stakeholders.
  • Integrating data on all monthly reports.
  • Being responsible for the maintenance of data on People HR, ensuring Data Protection governance. This will include, uploading and data checking.
  • Supporting the HR team with HR projects as and when required.
  • All other HR generalist duties.
The Skills, Knowledge and Experience you will need as our HR Coordinator:
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy, fast paced environment.
  • Highly organised with great administrative skill and knowledge, which leads in to being highly skilled in Microsoft Office, in particular excel, word and powerpoint.
  • The successful candidate must be able to perform a variety of duties whilst being resourceful and maintaining flexibility.
  • Confident with communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
Need to have:
  • CIPD L3 or above
  • Minimum of 3 years HR experience
Nice to have:
  • Automotive or manufacturing knowledge or experience would be useful and desirable
