Our client is looking for a Strategic business partner to join their team and provide relevant insights into business performance, support effective financial planning & analysis. In addition, you will also provide business expertise into accounting/financial control processes, including support for and interaction with various other teams.The successful applicant will be a strategic partner to their assigned division and will form an integral part of the Divisional Leadership Team.The experience they need:- Experience in dealing with manufacturing accounting, variance analysis, plant operations and managing multiple projects- Demonstrated ability to “get behind the numbers” and understand key drivers within a business- Demonstrated ability to identify business cases for new opportunities, and the ability to prepare planning models and/or implementation plans for those opportunities with senior management.- Experience in implementation and use of financial dashboards/analysis tools- Experience building strong working relationships across different seniority grades.- Ability to represent finance with the business and the business with finance- Someone who is happy to travel to various sitesThe skills they need:- Business/Commercial acumen and ability to understand operations with strong understanding of controls and business processes- Analytical skills to make sense out of large sets of data and identify critical KPIs- Highly developed budgeting, forecasting and business analysis skills- Highly numerate- SAP knowledge an advantage- Advanced Excel user- Ability to manage multiple projects / analysis at a time- Communication skills to provide rounded opinions and clear recommendations- Influencing and negotiating skills to deal with a variety of functions and profiles within the organisation- Integrity and judgement- Hands on and proactive attitude to pursue tasks where value for the business can be addedLocation: Liverpool, Merseyside or Marlow, BuckinghamshireContract Type: Full Time, PermanentSalary: £53,000 to £60,000 per annum plus benefitsBenefits: car allowance, 15% annual bonus, individual healthcare cover, pension and other benefits too.
