Due to internal promotion there is an opportunity to join a progressive department situated in the central belt of Scotland. We are seeking a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with IBMS Specialist portfolio in Medical Microbiology and further MSc level qualification who will contribute to development of the service. We provide a comprehensive Microbiology service to clinicians throughout the NHS Fife with an extensive Scope of Accreditation (UKAS :ISO15189)We are looking for a conscientious individual who is a skilled team player to work in this busy progressive department.The department has an annual workload of approximately 230,000 specimens and workforce of 47 staff members. The department is divided into 3 sections: bacteriology comprising bacterial culture, antibiotic sensitivity, Containment Level 3 operation with Parasitology, Andrology and Mycology with Environmental testing Molecular (bacteria and virus) and Serology (comprising bacterial and viral serology.
