Job Description

Bridge Recruitment Ltd, acting as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of their client, are currently looking for an E1 Design Engineer for their client based in Kirkbymoorside.Whats in it for you

  • Annual salary of £28,000 - £31,000.
  • 37 hours per week, 08:30 to 16:30 Mon - Thurs and 08:30 - 16:00 Friday.
  • Overtime - time and a half Mon-Sat and double time Sunday.
  • 5% pension.
  • BUPA private healthcare.
  • 25 days holidays plus 8 bank holidays.
Your new role as an E1 Design Engineer
  • Provide design input on projects, using the technical competencies listed below.
  • Produce engineering designs, specifications, and documentation to ISO 9001.
  • Assist in the preparation of operating and maintenance manuals.
  • Offsite engineering support for new products.
  • Assist sales and marketing in the preparation of quotes and proposals.
  • Provide technical support to the production, logistics and integration departments.
  • Work within the requirements of company procedures and national and international regulations.
  • Work within the timescales and budgets set by the company.
  • Other activities as directed by the Engineering Manager.
Essential Competencies
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing techniques, anodising, welding, heat treatment, painting, machining, cutting, folding and NDT requirements.
  • Assembly methods and maintenance.
  • Completing and checking designs and documentation.
  • Tolerancing, limits and fits.
  • Drawing layout and symbols.
  • Drawing and document control systems.
Essential Skills
  • Safety conscious, attentive to QHS&E policies and regulations (ISO 9001 QA systems).
  • Cost consciousness.
  • Technical drawing competence as defined above.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, clear technical writing, good record keeping.
  • Attention to detail and effective checking regime.
  • Software skills. Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD/DraftSight, and SolidWorks.
  • Speed and accuracy of data input and filing.
  • Willingness to learn new engineering skills.
