Job Description

I am looking for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a Local Authority in the North of Nottinghamshire on an initial 3-6-month contract. Working with the Assets team, you will be responsible for providing the procurement and financial management of constructionand building related projects. The Quantity Surveyor will benefit from hybrid working.Responsibilities for the Quantity Surveyor:

  • To produce tender documents using different forms and types of contract, including forms of contract to facilitate partnership working, for all capital and revenue construction and building related projects, and different methodologies such as the use offramework agreements
  • To assist with the implementation of the Local Authorities capital and revenue building works programs in an efficient and effective manner
  • To provide a cost monitoring and forecasting service in respect of all building related projects undertaken by the section
  • To carry out monthly financial valuations of contractor/partner activity; ensuring compliance with contract conditions and financial regulations at all times
What the Quantity Surveyor needs:
  • Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying
  • Experience of working on a range of procurement methods and contract forms. Including JCT and NEC
  • Building, construction and procurement practice, including EU Procurement Directives.
