Job Description

KSSAHSN Analytical and Evaluation TeamGraduate Analyst(s) / Analyst(s) Salary: £24,000 - £35,7006 months fixed-term contract, with potential for extension.Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (Monday to Friday)Base: Working from home for duration of the 6 month FTC. However, we do expect to be returning to an office environment in the London Gatwick area by Q3 2021, so the base is subject to change. Should the contract be extended beyond 6 months, there may also be an opportunity to be based at one of our other regional AHSN offices, dependent upon location.Background and roleKent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (KSSAHSN) is bringing together the best of industry, academia, local government and the NHS to spread innovation at pace and scale and work together to create sustainable solutions.An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Analytical and Evaluation Team for a number of either Graduate Analyst(s) or Analyst(s). The role would suit recent graduates, with the opportunity to gain experience in a huge variety of analytical fields. The positions will support Principal and Senior Analyst(s) and Workstream Lead(s) in providing accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose analyses and evaluation to healthcare provider organisations and other stakeholders.We are looking for talented, dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to deliver highly innovative analytical solutions within this friendly and creative team.Key Responsibilities

  • Support a range of analytical processes which provide the measurement of delivery of all KSSAHSNworkstreams.
  • Build and maintain performance dashboards for both internal and external use.
  • Combine quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to run and support projects, with a focus on the spread of innovation throughout the healthcare industry.
  • Support the delivery of robust and validated benchmarking to all KSS members and our customers.
  • Maintain a pro-active monitoring system for key, process and outcome measures and other performance indicators relevant to the programme.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, meeting clients where required, and tailoring analysis to their needs.
  • Maintain processes and systems to automate the updating of routine analyses and dashboards to support KSSAHSNworkstreams.
  • Highlight to the Principal, Senior Analyst(s) and/or Workstream Lead(s) for the relevant workstream any anomalies in data.
  • Required skills & expertise
  • Highly inquisitive mind, with ability to solve complex analytical problems in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Competent in the application of a broad range of statistical principles and techniques.
  • Ability to analyse and present complex information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong IT, Excel or database usage and knowledge.
  • Knowledge in the use of tools and techniques in data collection, manipulation and analysis, including planning, forecasting and modelling and database development.
