JC85 - Mechanical FitterLocation – KirkburtonSalary – £35,000 to £40,000 DOEOverview:First Military Recruitment is working in partnership with our reputable client who is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Kirkburton. The role will involve working with a range of carefully designed machines, specific to my clients specialist company. These machines are built in house from fabricated parts based on their own designs. Not only will the right candidate help build these bespokemachines, they will be able to maintain, fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems.Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Essential:

Experience dealing with all aspects of the equipment: diesel engines, mechanical, hydraulic, or basic water systems.
Experience using various hand and power tools, as well as welding equipment (MIG) for light fabrication and electrical testing equipment.
Experience conducting regular servicing, checking for damage or wear and tear then making adjustments.
Experience repairing or replacing damaged parts and reassembling and testing the machine.
Experience in disassembly, repair, inspection and testing of small plant.
Able to use computer diagnostic equipment to fault find.
Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

Good Knowledge of 12 & 24 electrical systems.
Automotive electrics would also be advantageous but not essential.
Experienced in using a centre lathe and milling machines.
Computer literate and familiar with Excel spreadsheets.
