Vacancy for Payroll / HR AssistantEdgeview Homes is a leading care provider in the West Midlands, Staffordshire and Worcestershire. We are a growing modern care business and we need likeminded individuals to join our excellent team.We have an exciting opportunity for the role of Payroll / HR Assistant to support the Central Support team and the HR team by undertaking payroll and HR duties as well as other generalist administration duties as instructed by the Finance Manager, HR Manager and/ or the Senior Management Team as and when required.This role is ideal for someone who is keen to learn and develop within the role and always willing to go the extra mile.As always any relevant and required training will be provided.Potential candidates will be required to hold the below relevant qualifications, skills and experience;• Payroll experience is essential• Previous experience as a Payroll / HR Assistant or Payroll / HR Administrator is essential• Ideally hold a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate, have equivalent experience and be willing to work towards this;• GCSEs in maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent) are essential• Good general IT skills when using Word, Excel and Outlook are essential. For example you will be proficient in being able to use excel formulas, create graphs and calculate percentages• Demonstrable note taking proficiency• Exceptional organisation skills• Good attention to detail• Good note taking skills• Good communication skills• Given that we are a care home, any offer will be subject to your consent to have the corona virus vaccine and then for you to have the vaccine unless you have a very good reason why you do not consent to it.You are required to hold a full driving licence ideally without any endorsementsThe role will be based at Edgeview Nursing Home in Kinver, Near Stourbridge but you will be expected to travel to other units to support the HR team.Benefits of the role include;• Pension Scheme• 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays• Discounts at various venues as part of the blue light card scheme• Free lunch from the home’s kitchen• Mileage paid at 45p per mile when needing to travel to complete your duties.• An approachable, friendly and supportive team• Covid safe working environment with safety procedures in excess of those recommended by the government and public health.The hours of work will be 40 hours per week, 8 am to 4pm Monday to Friday which can vary at times depending on the business needs. However, this is not common but will be expected as part of the proper performance of your duties as we are a 24/7 care provider.
