Job Description

As we are on the lookout for a Payroll Manager to join our HR department.We have offices throughout the UK in London, Kent, Worthing, Hull, Glasgow, Saltcoats, Telford, Shrewsbury and Bolton - we are happy for this role to be based out of any of our offices on a hybrid working model or fully remote with minimal office visits.Not heard of us Heres our story:Cabot Credit Management is a market leader in credit management services. We are an award winning, Investors in People Gold accredited organisation and we are passionate about the ethical treatment of our customers and employees.Things you should know:This role will be pivotal in driving the business payroll strategy to the next level. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of new UK and European payrolls whilst ensuring the current levels of serviceare maintained.Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Head of HR Operations on the development and implementation of the Payroll provision across the Group.
  • Functional Management of Payroll teams, working with the team to improve service to colleagues and ensure efficiency of process.
  • Management of Payroll Systems.
  • Accountable for the quality of payroll processing and payroll delivery, including administration of the annual salary review and bonus schemes.
  • Build and Manage relationships with external payroll providers.
  • Drive continuous improvement, using technology and new processes for an increasingly efficient management of all Payroll services.
  • Ensuring all third party payments are made accurately and on time
  • Analysing and reporting on Payroll data
  • Auditing the payroll to make sure it satisfies all government regulations
  • Work closely with the Finance team to ensure a cohesive and robust payroll journal procedure, assisting where needed in helping to understand financial reporting
We are looking for someone with:
  • MCIPP or similar qualification
  • Experience of Payroll implementation and consolidation.
  • Experience of end to end payroll implementation.
  • Demonstrable experience managing and executing a number of key Payroll projects across a transforming landscape.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment
