Job Description

Radar Recruitment are working exclusively with a large product-based business near Kings Hill, supporting them in their search for a BI Analyst, initially on an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract.Role SummaryThis role will be supporting the BI team in the building, maintenance and optimisation of current data models/ tools. You will also be extracting data that can then be transformed into efficient, accurate and insightful reports for various departments.Responsibilities:Modelling & Internal Systems

  • Learn, maintain and support the ongoing development of automating current data models and processes to increase efficiency
  • Assist with the enhancement and maintenance of the current reporting suite
  • Deliver and maintain notes and guides for any new processes and models created
  • Bring innovative ideas to improve the current SUPA (Standardised, User-friendly, Paperless and Automated) processes
Data & Reporting
  • Provide support to the Head of BI with data extraction, manipulation and transformation
  • Extract, manage, process and present data from external providers
  • Query databases using SQL Server and other tools whilst ensuring accuracy
  • Translate data into accurate and insightful reports to enhance market intelligence
  • Assist with testing, data-entry, requirements documentation and end-user support as required
  • Follow data governance principles and guidelines to ensure data security across the business
  • Have or gain strong working knowledge of PowerBI & Domo
Ad- Hoc
  • Assist with the support and training of new users and developers across the business
  • Be willing to occasionally travel to our Spalding site according to business needs
  • Validation and hypothesis testing alongside other developers and departmental contacts
  • Cover critical tasks during staff holidays/ absences
  • Assist management with other ad- hoc duties
Experience & Skills
  • Prior experience in an analyst, data or similar role
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic (VBA)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills essential
  • Experience using ERP systems such as Prophet would be beneficial
  • Knowledge of SQL reporting would be highly advantageous
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI & Domo or willing to learn through training and self- study
  • Strong communication skills
  • Have the capability to multi-task and deliver deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willing to travel to our Spalding office as and when required to meet business needs
  • Other coding languages would be beneficial
