Job Description

Title: Database Administrator Location: Kent (Hybrid) Salary: Up to £34,500 p/a Industry: IT ServicesDatabase Administrator Overview: This is an opportunity to work for a business that is Fast, Connected, Insight Driven and Customer-Led. The business are a IT Solutions business that support and provide their clients with outsourced bespokeIT Services and Solutions. They are seeking a an Experienced Database Administrator to support with a number of ongoing projects throughout the business including Commercial BAU and Data Centre projects. You will be able to reliably commute on sight to Kenton average once per week. **Please note: sponsorship will not be provided for this position - applicants must have full right to work in the UK without sponsorship - you must also be able to commute to Kent 1 day per week.** Database Administrator Responsibilities:

Provide consultancy advice on requests and attend meetings to present proposals and solutions to stake holders and contribute to planning activities, production and maintenance of the technical roadmaps and technical documentation
Monitor database activity, trends and resources and being responsible for initiating exercises to optimise performance as well as forecasting future resource demands, presenting and preparing casing for additional resources as appropriate
Produce and maintain plans for backup and recovery of database, application and servers
Lead on and ensure that backups are carried our as per agreed plans and manage exercises to prove recovery procedures

Database Administrator Requirements:

Proven experience as a DBA
Strong SQL skills
Beneficial experience with Azure
Beneficial; experience in Oracle
Ideally you will have experience in Azure or Oracle
