Summary Killerton is a large, exciting, and complex estate that operates with over 50 staff and the generous support of more than 400 volunteers and many varied communities and partners. You would be arriving at a pivotal time in the estates development,and we are looking for someone with confidence, passion, and skill in working with and inspiring others along with a strong ability to prioritise their own workload. Reporting to the Volunteering and Community Manager, youll be assisting in leading for volunteering and community involvement both on and off property. Located close to the vibrant city of Exeter, the 18th century house, garden, parkland, and wider estate welcomes in excess of 500,000 visitors a year. Its size and scale makes Killerton a truly wonderful place to work; within the formal visitor experiencearea sits Killerton House, grade II* listed Georgian mansion and former home to the Acland family. Close by is the grade I Chapel of the Holy Evangelists and the grade II Stable Block, all set within the grade II* Registered Park & Garden. Killerton Houseis an accredited museum, which houses a nationally significant collection of fashion, as well as nationally important landscape paintings and portraits. This role is full-time 37.5 hours per week, initially on a two-year fixed term contract. For more information about the property, please visit Killerton | Devon | National Trust What youll be doing Reporting to the Volunteering and Community Manager and working alongside and supporting a volunteer team, you will be contributing to the developmentand delivery of Killertons plan for volunteering and community involvement across an always-bustling and vibrant 6,400-acre estate. You will be working to increase confidence and help support our 17+ department volunteer managers across the estate with volunteerrecruitment, great volunteer management and to utilise the full functionality of our volunteering systems. Youll also be responsible for ensuring our volunteering recognition processes are followed and help ensure compliance via volunteers completing essential learning where appropriate. Youll be assisting the Volunteering and Community Manager in measuring andevaluating the impact of our work, proactively engaging with, and listening and responding to volunteers, communities, and partners alike.
