Job Description

Are you a passionate teaching professional looking for a new opportunity where your influence will have positive impact on the lives of children and young peopleRthirteen are currently supporting a specialist education provider in their search for a Qualified Maths Secondary Teacher to join them in Kent.We are looking for someone with a real passion for education, who really puts the needs of pupils at the heart of everything they do. You will be confident working with students and delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of all learners. Your role will play a key role in allowing the school’s diverse group of students to achieve not only their academic potential but set them up to flourish later in life.The successful candidate will be provided with the training, support and CPD needed to enable them to meet the requirements of the role and thrive.Duties to include:

  • Delivering engaging and creative Maths lessons.
  • Monitoring the progress of students and providing feedback.
  • Working effectively and efficiently with other teams across the provision to produce innovative and effective support for the learners.
  • Monitoring teaching and learning activities to ensure these meet the needs of pupils.
  • Actively contributing to policies and developments plans.
  • You will have/be:
  • Full teaching qualification (Minimum of PGCE or QTLS).
  • Experience planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons which meet the needs of the students.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to develop positive and supportive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
  • Have an ability to communicate effectively at all times through different mediums, including spoken and written communication.
  • Experience in planning, delivery and classroom management.
  • Desirable but not essential:
  • Proven experience working with children presenting SEMH and complex trauma.
  • Experience delivering vocational subjects such as BTEC, Functional Skills or ELC.
  • This is a full time, permanent position with an offered salary of up to £35,000 dependant on experience.
