Job Description

Our client is a highly successful and multi-award-winning small business working in the construction industry offering a bespoke, high-end product to both individual and corporate customers. Due to continued business success, they need to recruit the servicesof an experienced Stores Manager to join their thriving business. In return, you will work for an organisation that can offer longevity, job security, and the opportunity to develop within this role.Main responsibilities:

  • To assist in the effective running of the stores department for a leading construction design and installation company.
  • Checking incoming deliveries, picking orders, checking orders, and ensuring that these are carried out efficiently and safely.
  • Using FLT to safely move stock and unload deliveries.
  • Light assembly of parts and equipment may be required from time to time.
  • Manage all elements of stock control including the facilitation of a smooth annual stock take.
  • Very occasionally some deliveries may need to be made to customers, a company vehicle will be made available for this.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is required, ideally from the construction industry although this isnt essential.
  • A valid counterbalance forklift truck license is essential.
  • A valid (clean) UK driving license is essential for occasional deliveries.
  • The ability to work under pressure, on your own, maintaining accuracy and keeping deadlines.
Additional Information:
  • This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 7 am - 5 pm.
  • This role is paid weekly.
  • A company mobile phone is provided.
  • 33 days annual leave including Bank Holidays.
