Job Description

MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting for an employer of choice in north Essex for a Finance Business Partner. This pivotal role will provide financial analysis and advice to budget holders throughout the organisation. While the role involves the production of financial information used to inform and advice managers of the financial performance, a key focus will be on business partnering and building relationships.Key duties will include:

  • Preparation and reporting of budgets and forecasts working closely with budget holders
  • Evaluating and interpreting the impact of budgeted costs and where appropriate challenging and interrogating the financial performance of these
  • Meet regularly with heads of departments to review their financial performance
  • Work with project managers to review cost proposal for projects and provide senior management with updates on the project spend and delivery
  • Assist in the preparation of analysis and recommendations on Strategic Plans and projects to present to senior management
  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts including evaluating, interpreting and investigating material variances to assist and influence senior management decision making
  • Review and authorise requests for unbudgeted spends
  • Ad hoc analysis to support budget holders requests and highlight areas for consideration to them
  • You will be a self-starter and able to work autonomously to meet financial deadlines and coordinate junior members of the finance team. You will be able to interpret, interrogate and evaluate projects, especially their financial models and assumptions and enjoy analysing financial information to aid decision making. Your will be ambitious, hungry to succeed and possess strong interpersonal skills to enable effective relationship building. You will be either full or partly qualified.
