Job Title: Treasury ManagerLocation: Keele, StaffordshireRate: £15 - £20 Per HourHours: Full TimeDuration: Temp - OngoingStart Date: ASAPREED Education Nottingham FE branch are always recruiting for an experienced Treasury Manager to join their team in the Staffordshire area.Reporting to the Head of Research & Treasury Administration, you will work as a member of the Finance Directorate. You will be responsible for providing the accounting for the clients treasury activities. You will also perform a key role in ensuring thetimely provision of University cash flow forecasts, administration of the University borrowings and investments. This includes provision of cash flow data for the management and statutory accounts, line management of the Treasury Accounting Assistant and supportingthe Head of Research & Treasury Administration key tasks with research reporting.Key purpose of the role:Treasury and InvestmentsLead on strategic treasury management activities including: Implementation of the Treasury and Investment Management Policy, ensuring that the document is fit for purpose, enabling the University to achieve a competitive rate of return on surplus funds against a backdrop of minimal risk. preparation of accurate and up to date cash flow forecasts, and scenario modelling. preparation of monthly and annual reports to University Committees, concerning Treasury and Investment activities. strict adherence to bank agreements and covenants, particularly in relation to the Universitys loan facilities and sending appropriate information to contacts at the banks.. Assess the impact of business plans and economic changes for potential breachesof the covenants and stress test such proposals. maintain a sound understanding of the duties performed by the Treasury Accounting Assistant role and provide assistance where necessary. alongside the Treasury Accounting Assistant, perform the daily task to assess the level of surplus cash, or the requirement to draw down deposits to maintain a positive balance in the Universitys main current bank account. preparation of the monthly cash flow report, preparing the report and workings for review and strategic guidance. process payments, agreed deposits and withdrawals, and inter-account transfers using the online banking system and foreign payments system. actively participate in meetings with external counterparties and the Banks Relationship Team as required. periodically check interest calculations for loan facilities and ensure loan payments and capital repayments are punctual. administer and maintain Treasury related records such as online banking access, BACS system privileges, and bank mandates.What you will need Recent proven experience in a financial accounting position with responsibility for treasury management and research funding Experience in planning, budget setting, forecasting, management reporting and evaluation of financial information Experience of presenting financial data to audiences and individuals from a non-finance background CCAB Accountancy Qualified Excellent IT skills, in particular strong skills in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of accounting packages and Microsoft AccessReed Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.Successful applicants will be required to undergo a DBS check.
