Job Description

Due to excellent growth, my Keele based client is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy and fast paced accounts payable department. This role will be paramount to the successful production of month end reporting and day to day running of thepurchase ledger.Daily duties: Create purchase orders in line with Company procedures Process and match delivery notes and invoices Match purchase orders to invoices as appropriate Receive and download invoices from suppliers Monthly reconcile supplier statements, chase missing invoices and credit notes. Code and obtain authorisation before preparing invoices for payment. Ensure all data entry is completed within deadlines Monitor and handle queries. Deal with daily post and emails. Carry out general administration tasks, eg filing, photocopying, scanning Maintain existing and prepare new supplier account formsKey Skills: Experience of SAGE 50 Cloud Accounts Professional software is essential Excellent IT skills with experience of working with Microsoft Office packages Word, Outlook and Excel Accurate data entry skills Ability to prioritise work in order to meet deadlines Ability to analyse, investigate and resolve queries Self-motivated and determined to succeed Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential Friendly, pro-active and flexible team member
