Job Description

We are now looking for a College Services Officer to join our busy team in Keele!If successful, you will be joining the Keele University International College team, where we prepare international students from all around the world for undergraduate and postgraduate level study at Keele University. You will be joining a group of reallydedicated staff who work hard to ensure that students have the very best chance of success, whether through academic or welfare and progression support. We maintain a very friendly culture and environment for staff and students alike, and while it is sometimesa fast-paced and busy environment, it is hugely rewarding for the team when we see our students succeed and progress to Keele University, and indeed graduate a couple of years later.Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 per annumCollege Services Officer Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups
  • Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, data analysis and numbers
  • File management and administrative skills
  • Experience in a customer services focused environment
  • Proactive work habits
  • Proven ability as a team player
  • Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands
  • Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of student and administrative activities
  • Creative thinking processes
  • Commitment to self-improvement
  • Experience of working in a multi-cultural and/or international environment
  • Administrative and compliance experience related to Tier 4 sponsorship duties and requirements
  • Education services industry in the UK and offshore
  • Front-line customer relationship management to multicultural clientele
  • Working knowledge of the Immigration Rules with particular specialism of Tier 4
  • Budget management
  • Experience with student orientation events
  • OSH qualifications
  • First Aid qualification
  • A second language
