Job Description

AAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Showroom Manager to join a well-established, global leader of award-winning designer awnings. This is an exciting new position, and the company is looking for a talented and confident person to take on this importantrole.You will be joining an already successful team with a great reputation for high quality and excellent service, and the role will involve management of the company’s state of the art showroom in Islington, whilst also providing administrative support to theCommercial Manager and Managing Director and handling some of the company’s marketing activities.This is a part-time role, working either 35 hours per week, 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday, or 27.5 hours per week, 10.00am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, however the client is flexible and would consider alternative working patterns potentially across 3 or4 days for the right applicant.This is an interesting and varied role and a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a customer facing environment, who has excellent people skills and strong organisational skills.As a Showroom Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all aspects of the showroom, greeting customers and handling enquiries
  • Organise invitations for retailers, architects, specifiers to visit the showroom
  • Deal with incoming leads through the company’s website and handling enquiries for awning sales
  • Assist with the developmentof commercial activities including mail outs, sector investigation and marketing initiatives
  • Operate and manage the online construction projects portal to create leads, and identify potential future contracts for the company’s products
  • Act as support to the Area Commercial Manager regarding B2B leads, enquiries, and follow up information
  • Take calls as support for the Chester office when needed
We are looking for a Showroom Manager who has the following skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience in a similar customer facing role - experience in a gallery or showroom environment would be desirable
  • Experience in customer service or sales in a similar sector would also be desirable
  • Excellent rapport builder who grows and develops lasting relationships with customers
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a standalone position with minimum supervision, working efficiently and taking own initiative
  • Credible and professional, instils trust and works in partnership with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Confident, presentable, and independent
Full training is provided which would include a future visit to the company’s factory in Germany, as well as an online training program delivered over 3-5 weeks plus initial training with UK Managers.
