Imagine no weekend marking or evening planning Small class sizes. No Sunday night panic. No pressure around targets and dreading results time. This national charity has created a cutting-edge programme that makes a real difference. You will be supporting young people with a learning disability or difficulty (such as ADHD or Autism) to prepare for the world of work by supporting them to develop keylife skills in the classroom.They need you to create engaging and fun lessons, with scope to think outside the box. You will be delivering functional skills English, and Maths embedded into lessons about employability and life skillsall of which will have a huge impact on the way thelearners engage with the outside world. You will get 2 days of teaching. This offers real work life balance - with 1 day set aside for planning, admin, or ad-hoc delivery. So, you can go home with a clear head knowing you have made a huge impact duringthe day.Its a really supportive team, and a lovely programme to be a part of. With the learners going onto work placements with dedicated job coaches who support them every step of the way, from the travel to the workplace, to attending placements with them to helpthem settle.You might be a qualified teacher who perhaps wants something different from mainstream education and a better work life balance. This role is permanent and full time. You do work throughout the summers (so 25 days annual leave as a regular 95 job) but yousay goodbye to the weekend marking, evening planning and Sunday night dread.As mentioned, qualified teachers (so PGCE / DTLLS / QTS) from different backgrounds are welcome to apply, or you might have direct experience of delivering employability or functional skills but might not have a level 5 (perhaps they have PTLLS for example)so in this case the charity will pay for you to study for your level 5 teaching qual.Please apply via this adverteveryone gets a response.
