Reed Secure are working in alignment with one of Europe’s leading asset servicing providers with over 4,000 employees in eleven countries. Their core services include Depositary, Global Custody, Fund Administration, and a range of Market Solutions, includingFX, Securities Finance and Execution.They currently have a requirement for an HR Assistant who is experienced working within a financial services environment to join them and assist with the management of all administrative HR aspects tied to the activity of the UK Branch HR department (recruitment,training, HRIS, payroll and associated administration, etc.). Acts as a local HR contact and deploys the HR policies defined by the Group.This is a fixed term contract until August 2024, offering a salary up to £40k for an exceptional individual.Office is based in EC2A and the department operate a hybrid working arrangement with the requirement to be in the office 2 days a week.Core responsibilities• Assist with organising the recruitment of employees: arranging interviews, booking rooms, organising feedback.• Assist employees with the different stages of their life in the company (joining, leaving, any changes during employment), in keeping with the Group’s HR policies and the company’s strategic orientations (mobility policy, changes in occupations, transformationplans).• As needed, escalate any matters to the HR Manager and/or Head of HR.• Manage the set-up of records on all HR and training systems and any ongoing maintenance.• Take charge of monthly reporting requirements to the Group.• Ensure any activities are within the parameters of local and Group policy.• Support the HR Manager with the development of the training plan.• Arrange courses as required.• Act as payroll-checker and collate evidence for payroll changes• Perform administrative formalities prior to recruitment in accordance with legislation, such as pre-employment screening.• Ensure compliance with legislation relating to declarations and formalities following the departure of an employee.• Management of key stakeholders Recruitment agencies, Auditors and Other service providers• Liaison with UK Branch senior management, HR team in Amsterdam & ParisEssential experience• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience operating in a financial services firm, ideally banking, undertaken in a HR administration role• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Ability to listen and show empathy.• Self-motivated, able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.• Strong attention to detail.• Organised and methodical.• Pro-active and helpful approach.• Basic working knowledge of UK employment law• Payroll, data-entry and reporting experience• Experience with the onboarding process• Fluent English (written and spoken).The hiring manager is in a position to sift cvs and arrange interviews swiftly due to the urgency of the role so if keen, please do not delay in applying!
