As a Computer Science Teacher, you will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and hands-on lessons, inspire curiosity, and equip students withthe knowledge and skills required to thrive in the digital world.Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students of varying abilities.
  • Teach fundamental concepts of computer science, programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and computational thinking.
  • Engage students in practical coding activities and projects, encouraging problem-solving and creativity.
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, resources, and technologies to create interactive and stimulating learning experiences.
  • Support students in developing their programming skills through individual and group activities.

  • Provide regular feedback and assessments to monitor student progress and offer guidance for improvement.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computing, or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of computer science principles, programming languages (such as Python or Java), algorithms, and data structures.
  • Experience teaching Computer Science at the secondary level, preferably within a UK curriculum context.
  • Proficiency in using educational technologies and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for computer science education and the ability to inspire students to explore and pursue careers in technology.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in the field of computer science.
