Read on to find out more…IT SUPPORTIrthlingborough, Northamptonshire£19,000 - £24,000 Dependant on Experience35 hours a week 09.00 to 17.00 - 1-hour unpaid lunchEstablished in 1979 our client operates across 10 sites in England and Scotland with over 420 employees and 175 vehicles. They offer a wide range of delivery solutions to many satisfied customers while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professional conduct.They are looking for a motivated individual, with the desire to grow within the business, to join their fast-paced IT support environment. The successful individual will get the opportunity to take on challenging tasks whilst developing and growing their IT knowledge and skills.The IT Support RoleKey elements of the role will be first line support for IT functions across the business, utilising a helpdesk facility as well as supporting new initiatives and implementation of new technologies.Reporting to the IT Manager you will work with the IT team to provide a top-class level of IT support whilst also reviewing and improving service functions where identified.You will be exposed to all areas of the business supporting all elements of the IT function from desk-based hardware to E-signature capture, cloud, and mobile technology.The role will also support the IT development team and provide an interface between development of new systems and services and implementation into the smooth day to day running of the business.Responsibilities

  • Helpdesk management
  • Management of existing systems and infrastructure
  • Provide support to IT Manager in developing processes and procedures
  • Liaising with internal and external customers on IT issues
  • Providing business support with existing IT systems
  • Supporting IT development with projects as they arise
    • Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of two years in an IT support role
  • Understanding of core networking and IT hardware diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Good fault finding and diagnostics skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including strong verbal and written communication skills and a polite telephone manner
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Technologies such as Windows10, Office, Office 365.
  • Remote diagnostics of desktop or mobile applications for both Windows and Android
  • An ability to explain technical instruction in a non-technical way
  • A questioning and can-do attitude
  • You should be organised, disciplined and punctual
