This is the perfect opportunity to expand your knowledge of IT and develop your skill set!Work with a well-known UK wide company!IT Support - Service DeskMonday to Friday 35 hours 09.00 - 17.00£18,000 - £20,000Based at Irthlingborough NN9 5QQFirst line support /service desk role based in Irthlingborough with a well- known UK wide Palletised freight road transport business.The organisation is looking for a motivated individual to join their fast-paced environment. The successful individual will get the opportunity to take on challenging tasks whilst developing and growing their IT knowledge and skills.The RoleYou’ll be responsible for logging support calls to the ICT department on to the Business help desk ticketing system. Where appropriate you will be expected to troubleshoot the issue and were necessary escalate incidents to the appropriate team member(s).You’ll work closely as part of the ICT Support Team to deliver an efficient and effective service.Responsibilities / Skills required:

  • Provide responsive first Line help-desk support via telephone and remote access software.
  • Walk customers (internalexternal) through the problem-solving process in a non-technical manner.
  • Basic understanding of core networking and IT hardware diagnosistroubleshooting.
  • Good fault finding and diagnostics skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Hands-on experience working with Microsoft Technologies such as Windows10, Office, Office 365.
  • Remote diagnostics of desktop/mobile applications for Windows and Android.
  • Ability to explain technical instruction in a non-technical way.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a polite telephone manner.
  • You should be organised, disciplined and punctual
  • You should have the desire and drive to learn new tasks along with a desire to grow within the business
